Stephen "Shane" Hastings

Shane Hastings went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, due to sudden heart death. He waits there with Jesus Christ for those of us who also believe in that NAME. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my father's house are many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you may be where I am." John 14:1-3.

Shane was born April 13, 1977 in Oklahoma City, Okla. and graduated from Moore High School in Moore, Okla. in 1995. While attending Moore High School, Shane met the love of his life, Amanda McCay. They were married July 12, 1997 in Moore. Shane and Amanda moved to Weatherford, Okla., where Shane graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in pharmacy. They moved to Montrose in 2000, where Shane was a pharmacist at Wal-Mart and Walgreens.

In 2001, they welcomed their first daughter into the world, Emma Grace "Daddy's Precious." Two years later they welcomed their second daughter, Hanna Joy "Daddy's Joy" into the family. Emma and Hanna were his pride, joy and legacy. Together, the Hastings family were inseparable and their love for God and each other was a beacon of light to all with whom they came in contact.
