Kenneth Green Work

The funeral service for retired truck driver Kenneth Green Work of Paris was planned at 2 p.m. today at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Dale Gallimore was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday and today.

Work, 77, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at his residence.

His wife, Sarah Margaret Holman Work, survives. They were married on Sept. 11, 1960.

Born in Mansfield on Aug. 2, 1931, he was a son of the late Bryan E. and Callie M. Green Work.

Work was a member of Teamsters Local 705. He retired from Chicago in 1977. A member of AMVETS Post 17 in Chicago, he was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. He was a Baptist.

He also leaves two daughters: Kaye Andrews and Deborah Rinehart, both of Knoxville; two sons: Michael (Johnna) Work of Paris and Kenneth (Paulette) Rinehart of North Fort Myers, Fla..

One sister: Molly K. Brant of Columbia, S.C.; six grandchildren: Joel Evans, Jim (Sheri) Urbanski, Jessica (Tony) Giarrizzi, Margarett Rinehart, Brandon Clark and Zack Mount; and two great-grandchildren: Ethan Donahue and Jimmy Urbanski.

He also was preceded in death by two sisters: Jeanette Hall and Rose Shankle; and four brothers: Alton Work, Bryan Work Jr., John Lewis Work and Winfrey Doy Work.
