Sharon Kessinger

Sharon Kessinger, 63, of Owensboro died Friday, April 8, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health Systems. She was born in Mayfield, Kentucky on December 19, 1947 to the late Earl Winsett and Ruby Kathleen Crider Winsett. She loved playing bingo and fishing and was a member of Nickel Ridge Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Earl Winsett, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Ernest Kessinger; six daughters, Elizabeth Kessinger of Owensboro, Jessica Luck of Owensboro, Lisa Groves of Wilmington, North Carolina, Barbara Kessinger of Owensboro, Sherry Martin of Owensboro, and Jennifer Croom of Wilmington, North Carolina; one son, Kevin Kessinger of Florida; twenty-one grandchildren; and her twin sister, Karon Young of Owensboro.

Services will be at 3:00p.m. on Tuesday April 12, 2011 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.  Burial will be in Nickel Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday after 11:00a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
